Darcy Rozen, MA, LPC-P, ATR-P
My Approach
Therapy with me is a flexible, client-centered space that adapts to your needs rather than a fixed process or one-size-fits-all model. I see therapy as shifting depending on the person and what they are navigating. At times, it offers support and validation; at others, reflection, coping skills, sensory and emotional regulation, grief processing, or exploration of deeper patterns.
My approach is responsive rather than rigid, shaped by your goals, lived experience, and what feels most supportive in the moment. My role is to hold that space with you in a way that supports insight, regulation, and meaningful change.
What Therapy Can Look Like
Therapy may include emotional support and validation, reflection and outside perspective, support with sensory and emotional regulation, grief and life transitions, coping skills, and exploration of underlying patterns and experiences.
Sessions may be structured or more open-ended depending on your needs and can shift over time as your goals evolve.
My Background
I earned my Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Adler University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Provisional (LPC-P) and Art Therapist Registered–Provisional (ATR-P). I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in schools, private practice, residential settings, and inpatient mental health environments. My clinical work has included supporting anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, identity exploration, relationships, and life transitions, as well as facilitating groups and collaborating with families and treatment teams.
While trained as an art therapist, I view creativity as one of many ways people process and make meaning of their experiences, as well as a tool for sensory regulation. Art therapy may be integrated when it fits your goals but is not required. Therapy may also be conversational, reflective, skills-based, or focused on emotional regulation and insight.
How I Work in the Room
I show up as a warm, grounded, and collaborative presence. I adjust my approach based on your needs, offering structure, tools, and psychoeducation when helpful, and space for reflection when that feels more supportive.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I bring lived experience into my work. This informs my understanding of sensory, emotional, and relational experiences and supports my commitment to an affirming, accessible, and respectful therapeutic space.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of my work, I’m interested in art, storytelling, neurodiversity research, and creative approaches to regulation, connection, and growth.
