Ally Kempf, MA

she/her

Ally is a Couple and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families. She brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her work, creating a space where clients can feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted. She believes therapy can be a place to slow down, get curious about ourselves, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped us.

Drawing from narrative and systemic perspectives, Ally helps clients explore the beliefs and stories they carry and how these shape the way they understand themselves and their experiences. She believes that we do not experience struggles in isolation, and that our relationships, families, identities, and environments all influence how we experience ourselves and move through the world. Together, she and her clients explore what is no longer working and build on existing strengths. Through this process, clients can reconnect with their own voices, build confidence and agency, and develop new ways of understanding themselves and their relationships. Ally believes that clients are the authors of their own lives, and her role is to help them reclaim the pen and feel empowered to write what comes next.

While Ally enjoys working with individuals and families, she is especially passionate about working with couples. She loves helping partners understand the patterns beneath recurring conflict and move beyond cycles of blame, defensiveness, and disconnection. Whether couples are navigating communication difficulties, major life transitions, infidelity, or simply hoping to feel more connected, Ally works to help partners communicate more effectively, deepen their understanding of one another, and build trust and emotional intimacy.

As a Latina woman, Ally also has a particular interest in identity exploration, including the ways racial, ethnic, cultural, gender, sexuality, and other intersecting identities shape our experiences of ourselves and our relationships. She is trauma-informed, sex-positive, anti-racist, and affirming of all identities.

Ally earned her Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University. Outside of her work as a therapist, she enjoys taking long walks with her silver Lab, Bennie, and spending cozy nights at home with her cats, Lola and Rosie. She loves practicing yoga, exploring her creativity through art, and trying new things.
