Kathleen Katsikeas, LSW, RYT

they/them/theirs

As a clinical therapist and trauma-focused yoga instructor, Kathleen believes there is radical healing and empowerment in the connection between mind and body. Kathleen collaborates with clients to reconnect with themselves in a supportive and healing way. They incorporate gentle somatic movement, breathe work, and grounding in their therapeutic sessions with clients.

As a graduate of University Chicago (SSA), Kathleen sincerely connects with the mindful and values-based practices of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), where each client can feel empowered and validated in their experience. Kathleen has found that these practices can profoundly support clients struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, suicidality, self-harm, eating disorders, and trauma symptoms.

Additionally, Kathleen has spent much of their professional life working with children, adolescents, and families. Family Systems Therapy (FST) can be deeply profound either with an individual or with the family unit, as a whole. Kathleen has often used FST work with families and individuals healing through crisis, identity transitions, life transition, trauma (especially intergenerational trauma), and/or loss.
