Latina & AFAB Latinx Community Circle {ONLINE}

Biweekly (every other Friday), 12:00 - 1:00 PM CST, virtual (Zoom)

3/1/24 - 5/10/24, with the option to continue longer depending on interest

This is a virtual support group for adults (18+) who identify as Latina, or Latinx individuals who were assigned female at birth and socialized as a girl/woman, and are seeking a space to explore identity, receive support, and find community. The group will discuss topics such as: intersecting identities, navigating dual cultures, family dynamics, stereotypes and misconceptions, mental health, and self-care. The group will be facilitated by therapist Lauren Gestes, LCSW, who identifies as a second-generation Latina of bicultural background with roots extending to Mexico and Eastern Europe. Each session will offer the opportunity to share, give and receive support to group members, and end with a brief mindfulness exercise.

Some insurance plans accepted; out of pocket and sliding scale rates available.

Please reach out to Lauren Gestes at lauren@roomtobreathechicago.com for more information about registration and next steps if you think this group may be a good fit for you.
