Kelsey approaches therapy valuing and honoring clients’ identities, worldview, and emotional experiences. She utilizes psychodynamic and feminist theories, as well as cultural humility, to emphasize how relationships and personal identities impact human needs for support and care. Kelsey centers authenticity, compassion, and humor in working alongside clients.

Kelsey graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology- Chicago with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She earned a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School. Kelsey completed her internship at the University of Tennessee Student Counseling Center.

Throughout the last eight years, Kelsey has worked alongside clients in providing therapeutic care to individuals and couples with a range of life struggles, including substance misuse and chemical dependency, adjustment difficulties, interpersonal and relationship struggles, identity development, intimate partner violence, trauma, systemic oppression, and mental health diagnoses. She has experience working in community mental health clinics, psychiatric and inpatient settings, and university/college counseling centers. 

Kelsey collaborates with clients to foster a therapeutic environment and relationship that invites vulnerability, honors clients’ lived experiences, and offers opportunities for empowerment towards growth and healing. She holds the perspective that all individuals deserve a space to feel seen, heard, and valued. Kelsey looks forward to meeting and working with you!
