Besan Bannasch, LSW
she/her/hers
In therapy, clients enter an authentic relationship with Besan, building an honest, respectful, and non-judgmental sanctuary to process, heal, and transform. The stories we carry have shaped our lives and given us meaning. Besan supports clients in exploring their aspirations, strengths, experiences, identities, and fears as well as challenging maladaptive patterns in order to facilitate growth and reclamation of their story.
All of us are unique individuals with different lived experiences, cultural backgrounds, family dynamics, and value systems; as such, there is not a one-size-fits-all way to do therapy. Besan has an integrative practice, incorporating a variety of models and theories to find what resonates with each individual. Through embracing strengths and the healing aspects culture and identity, clients will build upon areas of their lives that are working, leave behind or transform those which are not, and pick-up new tools along the way.
Besan’s empathy and passion are drawn from her own lived experiences with loss, life transitions, parenting, diaspora, and growing up as the daughter of refugees/immigrants. She would be honored to accompany you in your vulnerability as you engage in the therapeutic process.
