Resting in easeful yoga poses can help calm the mind and awaken the parasympathetic nervous system for optimal relaxation and restoration. Paired with Reiki, a Japanese modality of energy work, the practice allows the gentle flow of healing energy to channel through the practitioner and gently to the receiver. The workshop will consist of a discussion of both Reiki and Restorative Yoga so students are provided with ample information regarding health benefits and what to expect, as well as given the opportunity to ask questions. Students will then be guiding through a series of restorative postures, and hands on or hands off Reiki will be offered at the discretion of the student's comfort level.
