Melissa is a 200-hour yoga teacher, social worker, self-taught health chef, and world traveler currently based in Chicago, Illinois. She weaves yoga, healthy food, and outdoor experiences together to teach self-inquiry and self-care. Melissa’s encourages a return to ritual and a curious mind to reconnect with ourselves, heal trauma, manage anxiety, and embody the highest expression of who we are.

Melissa's teaches yoga in the style of "vinyasa flow" (breath-synchronized movement) that balances alignment with self-paced movement. Her teachings are inspired by an array of teachers she studied with at Moksha Yoga Center in Chicago, including Daren Friesen, Tias Little, Alexia Bauer, Morgan Lee, Aadil Palkhivala, Kino McGregor, and Seane Corn. She completed a therapeutic apprenticeship with renowned Iyengar teacher, Gabriel Halpern, and a certificate in Yoga to Transform Trauma with Catherine Ashton.

Melissa encourages students to listen to their bodies to awaken the senses while cultivating steadiness in the mind.
